Dreaming of Paris....

photo from worldhdwallpaper.com
Hi guys just sharing my weird dream that turned into something romantic. Have you ever dreamed of being in one of the places you wish to go to only to encounter a stranger in your dream? well here's my story...

I dreamed about me having a trip to Paris last night. I just couldn't sleep properly. Sometimes, I have this habit of over thinking things whilst trying to put myself to sleep. I woke up around 3am and went back to sleep again. As soon as I closed my eyes there I was seeing myself on the train to Paris and there's a guy looking at me. Yes, a guy. Not in a creepy way but I'm assuming it was either the boyfriend or love at first sight kind of scenario in  my dream. Then it suddenly jumped on the scene where we got off the train and I had a vision of me staring at the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The city lights are shining bright and he was there standing next to me. He held my hand, we looked at each other and there we are running towards the Eiffel Tower together. Then my dream stopped!!

I was so eager to know what happened next! I thought I'd share this one with you. It was so strange and amazingly weird. Maybe Paris is calling me hahah (oh how I wish...!). I don't exactly remember what the guy looks like but he kinda looks familiar to me. I don't know if it's just me but there are things that I've dreamed of that actually happened in real life. It's like a premonition or déjà vu as what other people would say. Anyways, who knows what might happen in the future. If it's somehow real even if it's not in Paris..I just hope it'll be honest and true. Wishing to make that so-called fairy tale happen made me remember the song from 'Cinderella' which goes like this...

May you all have sweet dreams!

Happy International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day!
Hello lovelies! Happy International Women's Day! I thought I'd do a quick 'hi and hello' and something to share for the beautiful women all over the world. Not that I'm fully celebrating this day for women. In fact, I didn't even know it's today - Google simply reminded me about it from their usual doodle logos for whatever occasion. I think this is the day to make an exception to treat yourself (yes you!) or do something that you'd love to do. Just like me - making an exception for this event to write a new post for my blog. This is what 'JilliansMeTime' is about after all...

I'm happy enough getting up early for work blessed with a beautiful weather today. Plus seeing my godson after work always makes me forget how tired I am or anything that makes me worry. I mean just looking at his face with those chubby cheeks and long eye lashes is such a good distraction to take all the stress out. Okay, enough with the cheesiness but here's a picture of us when he recently turned nine months! :)

Here is what I wanted to share to all of you as sort of like a little somethin'-something for the women to read. I recently read an article from 'Elite Daily' about The Difference Between Women Who Are Hot and Who Are Beautiful. I thought it's such an interesting topic to talk about. Some of you may not like how it's written but some of you might agree with how are some women are descibed by 'some' men in this crazy world we're living. Not that I'm bashing men about the article as I know not all  men are like that. If you're interested then please do check it out just by clicking the title of the article. :)

PS. You might also like A day to treat myself out of boredom...

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Tuesday Selfie..."Thank you!"

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had to work today and getting up early is definitely not my cup of tea. But since my day started with a sunny morning, I was in the mood for a selfie (yes a selfie as what other people call it nowadays) right after curling my hair and doing my make up. I guess I was enjoying the bright light coming from my window -  too much of my excitement to take advantage of a good light for a selfie.

I told my friend Hannan that I would blog about this today and what he said to me was "it's all about you"  (in a vain-ish way!) though what he meant has been our inside joke since last year so I laughed and carried on with our so-called 'banter'. Honestly, it's true. I'm guilty and I can't believe you're still reading this. Although I'm thankful that you're still reading it. You just made my day because at least you find this pointless post somehow interesting (in your own crazy world) unless you're being nice. But thank you!

Aside from that, I also went Nandos with Hannan after work and enjoyed a piece of salted caramel brownie that he bought for me so for that my friend - 'Thank you!'. I thought I'll give a lot of credit for this guy on my blog today but I also thought it's best to save that for his birthday (which is miles away..) so that I can save myself from writing a long essay on a birthday card :] - which I never really do often to anyone. I don't know I'm just not a 'cardy(?)' person I guess.

Okay, that's it I have to stop typing now. Have a good day!

A bit of everything..

Hi guys, just giving you an update from what I've been up to this week including today. Ya know catching up with the world of blogging. :)

We've been having rainy days lately so I'm quite pleased to see a little bit of sunshine in Oxford. Last Sunday, I took advantage of my one hour break from work and decided to have a walk in the park. Despite the busy day at work, I think it's great that I get to relaxed in a nice and calm environment. It makes you think a lot though - walking solo. I guess listening to music with headphones will keep you in whatever mood you want to be in.

I haven't been at The University Park for as long as I can remember so it's also a good time to see if anything has changed.
I went out on a Thursday morning and yes it started raining again...so I stayed in Starbucks to keep myself warm and cosy whilst doing an "about me" page for my blog.

Honestly, I find it really hard to think what I can say about me since I've already done 25 Random Facts About Me. I don't know but I think it's best to keep it simple. This will be up soon not that it's something big but I hope you'll like it.

I heard that it's National Margarita Day today via Michelle Branch's Facebook status. I don't really know anything about it but she mentioned about having tacos for brunch to celebrate the day which is funny because I made tacos today as my mom requested it.

Homemade Tacos for the win!

That's it for now. Whether you're celebrating National Margarita Day or not l hope you have a good day and an amazing Sunday!

Roses are red, Violets are blue

Hello lovely people! Valentines Day is just around the corner so I thought this week I'd post anything that relates with the "L" word.

Valentines Day is all about showing your feelings of love and affection to another person. If Mr. Cupid has given you a date or someone special to spend time with then I hope that everything goes well for you. If you're single like me, don't feel bad if you don't have a date just treat yourself somehow you deserve it (at least think of it that way) and the day will just go by trust me. As for me, I have no plans yet. I think I'm more excited to catch up with my workmates this week since I haven't seen them in awhile so it should be fun.

So recently, I watched a film called Frances Ha and it's a really good film. I guess because I can somehow relate to some of the scenes that they've made. I watched it twice and recommended it to my sister. This scene is one of my favorites from the film.

'It's that thing - Greta Gerwig'

Enjoy and have a good day! :)

Inspiration #1 : Love is the Best Art of All by Joyce Maynard

Hey lovelies, It was that time when Joyce Maynard invited me to be friends on Facebook  (I assumed she probably noticed that I love reading with all the books I liked on Facebook- really long time ago) that I began to know a little bit about her and have an interest about the things she does and the stories she writes about.

I saw my news feed as she shared a short clip of 'Labor Day' movie (one of her famous novels!) and sort of mentioned about reading the book before watching the movie and after that it lead me on to watch more of her interviews, her past life or story telling (more like) on Youtube....and came across this.

I think...in any circumstances ('unconditional') love is the best art of all.

Have a lovely day!

Jamming Session! :)

Today, we had a jamming session after the practice. It was great just singing away old school music. You might know or even remember some of these  songs! ;)

PS: the first video was not a part of the jamming session. It was just me reminiscing the 90's this morning before the practice. I didn't know my day would be full of old school remedies!.. ;)

90's songs in the morning. Just coz I found an old CD! (guilty..yes I still do listen to them.)

♩...Baby I love your way..~

Just singing along...

Winner!..The song that I'll need to learn for our next jamming session!...:)

That's about it...Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend :)
